On the final day of filing two additional persons entered petitions to create a three-man race in the 47th Ward Democratic Committeeman race. There were also races for the GOP and Democratic Committeeman race in the 49th Ward, and the 32nd, 33rd and 40th Ward GOP Committeemen races.

Rahm residency question still open. Up to 19 to file for mayor

While the question of Rahm Emanuel's residency continues, up to ten persons are expected to file for the ballot for the open aldermanic seat in the 46th Ward. Four persons are expected to file in the open 48th Ward. Schulter is expected to face three challengers and Tunner two challengers.
