Heal, the veterinary clinic, and The Welles Park Bulldog, are co-hosting a special event to encourage the use of electronic tags.
The tags, which are inserted under the skin, nearly guarantee that if your pet is lost, it might be retrieved. Veterinary clinics routinely scan new patients for the tags, thus identifying previous owners.
The tags will be available Sat., Feb. 11, 2-4P at Heal, 4108 N Rockwell Ave. Cost is $20 (normally $67.50.
Pet portraits will also be able to be taken at the event.
Photos will be $25 the day of the event; $10 if you pick-up later in the month.
February is a month in which you can obtain a spay or a neuter of your pet at a substantially lower rate than normal. The effort spay neuter effort is in recognition of Spay/Neuter Month and in association with the Cook County Animal and Rabies Control office. Please call Heal if you wish to schedule this separate service: .
