The North Park University men’s soccer team defeated Carthage College 3-2 Wednesday to move forward in the CCIW post season.
The college news service reports sophmore midfielder Mike Herbst buried a clutch goal in the 85th minute to give North Park the win.
“Herbst’s fourth goal of the season found the top right corner of the net,” NPU’s Kevin Shepke reports. Herbst received a pass from Fredrik Greiff at the top of the box.
Herbst has been made two game-winning goals this season. It was the second win over Carthage in two weeks.
