Parents associated with Trumbull School’s Local School Council, Friends of Trumbull and the advisory boards of the school announced today they plan to sue Chicago Public Schools for violating the Special Education laws.
Details of the suit were still being worked out, however a parent met with press outside the school saying they were working with the Legal Assistance Foundation on the case.
“We don’t think the fight for Trumbull is over,” Mark Miller, a member of the Friends of Trumbull and the school Local School Council said. He noted initial test scores indicated the school would be emerging from probation.
“If we were given the opportunity we could make this school great,” Miller said.
