Citing a lack of participation, Chicago Public Schools today announced they will extend the deadline for nominations to be filed for Local School Council elections.
“More than 6,800 seats are at stake citywide in the elections,” a news release noted. “CPS has recruited 2,060 candidates to date.”
“Far more candidates are needed,” the report concludes.
