Eight hope to nominate November victor.
Eight residents are seeking seats at major party national conventions in the upcoming March primary.
The biggest name on the list is William Daley.
But it isn’t THAT William Daley. William Daley although moving back to the Roscoe Village neighborhood from Washington, DC, bought their $1.3 million home in 2008. William is married to Aimee Daley and is a nephew, not the brother, of the former Chicago mayor.
Daley, like every other Democrat running in the area, is a delegate for US President Barack Obama.
Joining Daley will be:
- Gail Morse. Morse is a tax attorney at Jenner & Block. Morse is active in women’s issues, LBGT recruitment and issues and also has specialties in environmental law and technology law. Morse is a resident of the Wrigleyville neighborhood.
- Sarah Jerutis. Jerutis is a resident of the East Horner Park/ North Center neighborhood.
- Shankar Iyer is a financial advisor. He resides in the Southport Corridor of Lake View.
- Sarah Feigenholtz is a state legislator. Feigenholtz represents the 12th District.
- Celena Roldán is a resident of Logan Square.
Republican delegates hoping to go to the national conventions are:
- Ellen McIntosh is running as a Mitt Romney delegate. An associate at Kirkland & Ellis, McIntosh has specialized in capital markets, corporate offerings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. McIntosh is a resident of the Avondale neighborhood.
- David Ratowitz is an attorney specializing in real estate development and property management. A former Army officer, he served in the 82nd Airborne and the 2nd Infantry. He was deployed in Korea and Haiti. Ratowitz is a survivor of Hurricane Katrina. He is active in the Illinois Tea Party and a delegate for Dr. Ron Paul. Ratowitz is a resident of the Old Ravenswood neighborhood.
