- IceHogs players swarm around Carter Hutton after their 2-0 shut out win over the Stars.
The IceHogs were finally back home at the BMO Harris Bank Centre this afternoon, after being on the road for a over 2 weeks. The Hogs hosted the Texas Stars for a bit of Afternoon Delight in front of a packed house of 4717 fans. It was Kids Day and they came out by the bus fulls.
Carter Hutton was outstanding in net for the IceHogs, stopping all 31 shots and getting the shutout win 2-0. Hutton was also named the #1 Star of the Game. Goals for the IceHogs were scored by Brandon Svendsen and Jeremy Morin. Svendsen was recently signed to a PTO by the IceHogs.
Andrew Shaw is also missing from the IceHogs’ roster, as he signed a 3 year contract with the Blackhawks last week and has been making big waves since joining the team, scoring 4 goals to date. The 20 year old Shaw is a 5th Round, 139th overall, 2011 Entry Draft pick by the Blackhawks. Shaw started the season on a AHL deal with the IceHogsl, 2011 Entry Draft pick by the Blackhawks.
