Ald. Eugene Schulter raised more than $123,000 in the last six months of 2010, more than 19 percent of the total raised by candidates in four wards combined and the largest fund raising amount of candidates in the Ravenswood area races, state filings studied by The Bulldog found.

Schulter (D-North Center) withdrew from the race earlier this month, but his warchest of more than $900,000 is more than 75 percent of the political funds available to the candidates in races for aldermen in Ravenswood.

Seven Ravenswood candidates have not filed financial statements with the Illinois State Board of Elections. Those statements for the final six months of 2010 were due Jan. 20. Updates for receipt of contributions of $1,000 or more are due within five days of the contribution.
