The IceHogs beat the Milwaukee Admirals 3-1 this past Saturday night in Rockford. The night’s theme was Pink The Rink for Breast Cancer awareness. The Hog’s wore black jersey’s with pink accents. Those special game worn jerseys were then sold after the game during a silent auction. The event raised over $21,000 towards the fight against Breast Cancer.

During opening ceremonies this past Saturday night in Rockford, Carter Hutton was presented with his award for being named last week’s Reebok’s Player of the Week in the AHL.

Both the IceHogs team and their fans were dealt a blow just this past week with the sudden trade of defenseman Brian Connelly to the Calgary Flames. Connelly was then promptly assigned to the Abbotsford Heat. The trade netted the Chicago Blackhawks a veteran center, Brendan Morrison. Connelly had been recently been named to his 2nd straight AHL All Star Classic and while competing on Sunday, he won the Speed Skating competition with a time of 13.851.
